I would rate this company a zero if I could! Brightstar should be named ScamSTAR because it's a *** scam.

Last month I dropped my phone and this caused the screen to crack. I found out I had warranty on the phone for any damages. For the last two years I have been paying $11 dollars for device protection with FIDO. When I called Brightstar, the representative had me on hold for over 30 minutes and then told me she will start the process for the phone getting repaired.

The representative said the first screen repair is free if there is no additional damages, if not I would have to pay out of pocket. She then asked me for my credit card number and I told her I was not comfortable giving that information over the phone. She told me she could not proceed with getting my phone repaired at an approved store because she needs to confirm my credit card number and they would not give out my credit card information. I asked her if the first repair is free and i've been paying $11 for the last two years why would she need my credit card number?

I would advise everyone to stay away from this company!

They are a scam! The reason they wanted my credit card number is so they could take money out of my credit card!

They ask for the credit card info so you have no choice but to send the damaged phone back After receiving the new one. The service is good.
