Brightstar Device Protection - SCAM ARTISTS --- LIARS
So i sent in my LG V30 for a screen replacement as thr first screen replacement is "free". Submitted the repair request, was approved (also did this at a ROGERS location so manager could verify there was no other damage), got the shipping label sent to me, printed it out and packed the phone in BUBBLE WRAP and then placed in a box. I thrn immediately yook it to the UPS Store and mailed it out to them. Within two days, lo and behold, theres external damage and I must pay the replacement fee of 200$. I filed complaints w Rogers (they were also absolutely phenomenal and they should terminate their partnership; theyre going to be named guilty by assoviation!!) and was given several absolutely amazing resolutions from Rogers but I got upset because neither Rogers , nor I should have to pay anything!! Anyways, due to the fact that I had only had my phone around the 30 days, Rogers did a complementary good will exchange and sent me another LGV30 on the expectation that I would request the phone back from Brightstar and send it to Rogers.
First off, everytime I called Brightstar, not only was I made to wait, but I was also placed put on "hold" for an undeterminable amount of time as the calls kept getting "disconnected". I finally called with Rogers and suddenly nothing like that ever happened???
So anyhow when I requested my phone back wo the repair and I would not be paying amy money to them, I was of course at the wrong department, then when I got to the right department, I was advised (with a Rogers associate looking and eavesdropping in disbelief at the hold time) that they would have to open a "case" and forward it to the appropriate persons. They took several weeks and Rogers had called me womdering if I had gotten the phone because they didnt want to be forced to charge me for the replacement, at which time I advised Rogers I habe not received any notificatiom from Brightstar that they had sent it out. So, while on the phone w the Rogers rep, he called Brightstar for an update on my phone..... Oh how conveniwnt they were mailing it out the next day.
A few weeks later I received the phone..... Brightstar had actually broken the back plate on my phone.
